My name is Raquel García and when I started playing the piano as a hobby at the age of 14, I knew I had found something wonderful that I couldn't give up.

After almost four years studying at the Olot music school , completing two courses per year, I moved to Germany for a year to study with Raffaele Mani, a student of Joaquín Achúcarro, and won first prize at the Jugend Musiziert chamber music competition during that time . Following that year, I entered the sixth year of professional studies with top marks in both Catalonia and the Frankfurt am Main Conservatory , although I eventually returned to Catalonia.

A year later, I was accepted into the Higher Institute of Arts of Costa Rica, a school founded by a Russian pianist, where I studied under Dr. Luis Monge and worked with other professors. There, I was able to perfect my favorite technique—and in my native language! I currently continue my studies privately with Aaron Petit.

My journey as a teacher began early: after two years of study, my teachers entrusted me with substituting for some classes in Olot. Since then, I have worked with students of all ages and levels, from those aspiring to professional studies to those who simply want to enjoy music and play pieces that move them.

My goal is to help my students become independent pianists , with enough technique and reading skills to enjoy the piano for their entire lives.

For all these reasons, I feel motivated to accompany you in your learning, overcoming obstacles and levels on your path to enjoying the beauty of the piano.
